But we take an unbiased approach to nutrition - and we’re always open about the pitfalls of plant-based diets as well as the pros.
What’s the difference between ‘plant-based’ and ‘vegan’?
A plant-based diet is a diet made up mainly of plant-based foods rather than animal foods.
Veganism is more than a diet - it’s a lifestyle free of all animal products, such as leather, cosmetics, products tested on animals, and more.
We prefer the term ‘plant-based’ over vegan for what we do at Vojo, because we provide evidence-based nutrition advice - not moral lifestyle advice. How you live your life is up to you.
Are you vegan or plant-based?
I (Ellie, founder) am vegan and have been for over 10 years. I believe it is the right thing for me to do - for my health, the animals, and the environment.
However, I’m not dogmatic about it - and I’m certainly not going to force you to go vegan.
Will you judge me for eating meat?
Not at all. We believe in free choice, and not shaming anyone for any reason. We work around your dietary preferences, whatever they are.
Why is your advice mostly plant-based?
We always give you the most sustainable and cruelty-free advice - so your Vojo Diet Tribe will always be 100% plant-based. But that doesn’t mean you can’t include some animal foods too.
